A planned growth precinct — Warrnambool City Council (in planning)

Transport

Connected by road, rail and coast.

East of Aberline sits inside a regional city, so daily travel is short. The road and rail network then links Warrnambool along the coast and east to Geelong and Melbourne.

Rail

Warrnambool Station (V/Line — Warrnambool line to Melbourne). Regular V/Line services connect Warrnambool to Geelong and Southern Cross Station, with the CBD terminus roughly 3.5 hours away.

Highway

Princes Highway (A1) runs through Warrnambool, linking the city east toward Colac, Geelong and Melbourne and west along the coast toward Portland and South Australia.

Air

Warrnambool Airport handles general aviation on the city's northern edge. Scheduled commercial flights are accessed via Melbourne (Tullamarine or Avalon).

Future road upgrades

The draft precinct structure plan identifies upgrades to the boundary road network — Wangoom, Aberline, Dales and Horne Roads — plus new internal connector streets and shared paths as stages are delivered.
